Terms of Use
Rules and conditions for using Anmol Vivaah
Last updated: February 2025. Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully. By accessing or using the Anmol Vivaah website, applications, or services (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. Acceptance and Eligibility
By creating an account, browsing profiles, using matchmaking or search features, contacting vendors, or otherwise using the Platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organisation (e.g. a vendor business), you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
2. Description of Services
Anmol Vivaah provides: (a) a matrimony and matchmaking service where members can create profiles, search, and connect with potential matches; (b) a wedding vendor marketplace where users can discover and contact vendors (photographers, venues, caterers, etc.); (c) content such as blog posts, success stories, and FAQs; and (d) related support and communication tools. We may add, modify, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where feasible.
3. Account Registration and Security
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are fraudulent or harmful to other users or the Platform.
4. User Conduct and Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information in your profile or in any communication.
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or defame any user, vendor, or our staff.
- Use the Platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law (including laws relating to marriage, age, and data protection).
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to collect data from the Platform without our written permission.
- Impersonate another person or entity, or create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions.
- Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful code; attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other accounts.
- Use the Platform to promote or facilitate prostitution, trafficking, or any activity that exploits minors.
- Resell or commercially exploit Platform content or services without a separate agreement with us.
We may remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, and report illegal activity to authorities. Repeated or serious violations may result in permanent ban and legal action.
5. Matrimony and Matchmaking
Profiles and matches are based on information provided by users. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any profile or match. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other members, including verification of identity and compatibility. We encourage you to meet in safe, public places and to report suspicious or abusive behaviour. We are not responsible for the conduct of users or the outcome of any relationship or marriage.
6. Vendors and Third-Party Services
Vendor listings, ratings, and content are provided by vendors or third parties. We facilitate discovery and communication but do not guarantee the quality, legality, or delivery of any vendor service. Any contract, payment, or dispute between you and a vendor is between you and that vendor. We may assist with dispute resolution on a best-effort basis but are not liable for vendor acts or omissions. Use of payment or booking features may be subject to additional terms of the payment or booking provider.
7. Intellectual Property
The Platform (including design, text, graphics, logos, and software) is owned by Anmol Vivaah or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent. You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g. profile photos, messages); you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and process such content to operate and promote the Platform, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
8. Fees and Payments
Some features (e.g. premium membership, featured listings, promoted profiles) may be subject to fees. Fees will be displayed before purchase. All fees are in Indian Rupees unless otherwise stated and are non-refundable except as required by law or as stated in our refund policy. We may change fees with notice; continued use after the change constitutes acceptance. You are responsible for any taxes applicable in your jurisdiction.
9. Disclaimers
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. YOU USE THE PLATFORM AT YOUR OWN RISK. OUR DISCLAIMER PAGE CONTAINS ADDITIONAL LIMITATIONS; PLEASE READ IT.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANMOL VIVAAH AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL) ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED INDIAN RUPEES (INR 100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN SUCH CASES, OUR LIABILITY WILL BE LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Anmol Vivaah and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms or any law; (c) your violation of any third-party right; or (d) any content you submit or your conduct towards other users or vendors.
12. Termination
You may close your account at any time through account settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without notice, for breach of these Terms, fraud, or any reason we deem necessary to protect the Platform or users. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g. disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, dispute resolution) will survive termination.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi, India. You agree to attempt to resolve disputes in good faith before resorting to litigation.
14. General
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and Anmol Vivaah regarding the Platform. Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not waive that right or provision. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms; you may not assign without our written consent. Headings are for convenience only.
15. Changes
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform and may close your account.
